Last night by the Regents Canal

Yesterday evening I went for a photo session with two friends and walked along the Regents Canal. We started out in Paddington, cut through to Paddington Basin, walked all around Little Venice and then on to the edges of Regents Park. What a fantastic area for diverse scenery! There’s the fresh buzz in the bars and canal boats in Paddington Basin, a more sleepy relaxed vibe around Little Venice and then the gritty graffiti’d tunnels as you approach Regents Park.

One of the tunnels had been graffiti’d in UV paint and it made for a very interesting photo, especially when a narrow boat with lights blazing cut through the darkness.

This isn’t a walk to do on your own in the darkness unless you’ve got zero faint-heartedness about you and a good qualification in one of the martial arts (it gets very dark in places). It was very exciting to discover it though because some parts I was very familiar with but some parts were completely unknown to me. I do love to discover a new part of London I’ve never been in before!

I hope you’re all keeping well and finding exciting socially distanced things to do. Stay safe!
