My new YouTube video is online at last
A couple of weeks ago I collaborated with Lea from YouTube channel Lea Loves Shoes and we had a lot of fun and a very busy day taking photos in the Kings Cross area, walking from Kings Cross Station to Coal Drops Yard via the St Pancras Hotel (and its very grand staircase), the Eurostar terminal and the Regents Canal. That was when there was lots of talk about coronavirus affecting other countries but there were no restrictions on movement in London and everything seemed normal. Fast forward to two weeks later and our lives are changed beyond recognition. I’ve been working on the video for two weeks and you’d think I would have edited it more quickly since I’m staying at home. It’s not been the case though.
It was a good feeling to get it finished and it was yet another brilliant learning experience for me. Lea is very photogenic so it made my job easy.
I’ve added my favourite photo from the day to this post. It’s one of Lea, dressed all in black, standing in front of a purple and white car with the grand red brick St Pancras Hotel and clocktower as a backdrop. It’s one of my favourite photos so far and will definitely be added to my People and Portraits section on this website.
When I write about taking photos outside and think about all the plans I had, I feel a heart wrenching pang wondering how long it will be before I’ll be able to wonder freely among crowds of people again. I just cut off that thought though and think about all the good things I can do today. I’m taking it one day at a time!
